What marvelous creatures nature has created! The moment I saw this spotted laternfly I felt this urge to pick up my tools and try to put the image to paper. How beautiful and how sturdy it look with that strong red and yellow. I used bookpage from a very old version of Carlos Castaneda’s Journey to Ixtlan to create the upper wings. The lining is a linocut print and I added all the colors by hand. Isn’t it stunning?
